KPMG Hui 3

Yesterday we finally got to see each other face to face for the first time since our first hui in Kuatounu at the beginning of the year.  It was so good to chat and share our 2020 experiences, which of course was as much about our distance learning experiences as it was about our projects.

We began by sharing our current situations and discussing what challenges we are still facing due to Covid19, it is very interesting to learn of the differences between Auckland schools and ones not as affected by the current lockdown.

Next we went around the table and shared our projects as they look now. This was so good, to get positive and helpful feedback was a huge weight off my shoulders. It was nice to hear that my tool was going to be useful to other teachers too, not just my team. It reaffirmed that I was on to a good thing and gave me the drive to continue with enthusiasm. The feedforward was amazing, I have broken down my next steps as follows:

1. Simple is best. Take away the pictures and colours and keep a simple white background

2.  Create my own headings on Google Drawing and keep them the same across the pages.

3. One line headings - with a subheading where needed

3, Add the reading level/colour/age graph

4. Add data to support my theory/challenge

5. Simplify my buttons on home page

6. Add my student videos

7. Google analytics.

And of course...keep adding to my content.

Lots to do, and then start my presentation. Not going to lie, that scares the hell out of me. Public speaking is not my thing, but hopefully with a good slide presentation and a few run throughs, it won't be too bad.

Right, work to do!
